Scotts Wright are delighted with two of their young members of staff who have excelled in their recent exams.
Trainee Solicitor John Barker, 31, originally from Askrigg in Wensleydale, but who now lives in Darlington, is based at our Leyburn office and will be well known to clients buying or selling property.
He is nearing the end of his trainee period and will soon be admitted to the rolls as a Solicitor. A former pupil of the Wensleydale School, Leyburn, he read for his LLB (Law) 2.1 degree at Teesside University.
During the past year John has been sitting his Legal Practice Course on a “sandwich” day-release basis and Scotts Wight are delighted to announce that he passed this post-graduate diploma with Distinction.
They are equally delighted to welcome a new trainee to their ranks, Lucinda Watts, who has just celebrated her 21st birthday, from Preston-under-Scar, also in Wensleydale.
Lucinda, also a former pupil of the Wensleydale School, gained work experience with Scotts Wright during holidays while she was reading law at the University of Bradford, graduating this summer with a First Class Honours LLB (Law) degree.
She has been based at our Catterick Garrison office dealing with archives while awaiting the start of her traineeship as a Solicitor. She, like John, will do her post-graduate LPC diploma by day release starting next month.
